Del Mar July 26th recap + July 27th preview

Del Mar recap (July 26th)

Double digit winners (no winning favs) ruled the day at Del Mar. The late Pick 4 paid $200k, and the Pick 6 carryover is now over a cool $1.5 million. A pair of wins for Michael Baze…

Race 9: Storm Mesa is the real deal for Bret Calhoun. She was on a rapid pace but was wisely wrangled back to 6th by Eddie Martin Jr. She moved out around the turn and into the stretch and mowed down Tasha’s Miracle like a good thing. She has handled everything thrown at her (sprints, routes, turf, dirt), and they are gonna have a lot of fun with this versatile 3yo miss.

Del Mar preview (July 27th)

A competitive 9-race card is offered on Sunday, and the big Pick 6 carryover is the talk of the town. The Grade 1 Bing Crosby is my MySpace free selection of the day.
