Da’ Tara, under a heady ride by Alan Garcia, seized control from the outset and proceeded to pull off a surprising 5-1/4 length wire job in the 140th Belmont Stakes on Saturday.
The win gave Nick Zito his 2nd Belmont Stakes victory, and both times he foiled Triple Crown bids. The other was Birdstone over [...]

As a fellow Marylander, I am well aware of the impact Mr. McKay had on thoroughbred racing in our state.
I have attended several Maryland Million programs since its inception in 1986. He was a class [...]

The quarter crack on his left front foot, discovered on May 23rd, continues to get better, and [...]

Race 1: Overwhelming fav Tybalt had a few small things go wrong in the early stages, but nothing of consequence. He ranged up turning for home but failed to kick away and was worn down by his stablemate Heroi Do Bafra, who had a bad case of seconditis [...]

Denis of Cork had his final Belmont Stakes breeze on June 2nd, logging four furlongs in :48.60. His maintenance breeze served its purpose, as he got his first quarter in :24.80 and galloped-out five furlongs in 1:01.60.
The son of Harlan’s Holiday seems to be in good shape and will depart for New York with Macho [...]
